The task list enclosed gives an update of current status, those items
left to be accomplished and those items completed.

The list should be complete, please le me know if an item is missing.

The items with a status of "completed" are ready for testing.  The
front page can be found at http://mit.edu/tooltime/www/help_main.html

   Add new lastname field on consultants screen to allow for
   searching by client name.

   Improve performance on search by date filters.

2. Question:                   Closed                   Wade

   Regarding:  Search by Open status.

   Answer:  The Open status works the same way as in the Scopus
   applicaton.  Open returns all logs not set as Closed or Cancelled.

3. Add Next Step field:         Open            	Wade/Ho

   [ This field needs to be added to both Scopus and the Web.  I will
   add this to the database and the web, can Rob and David work to
   get this added to the Scopus application? ]

4. Current values for
   Log Stati and Category:      Open            	Debi/Smyser

   The Scopus interface allows you to maintain these values.  I recall
   that Rob, Peter Ragone and Barbara have access to make changes.

5. Required fields:             Open            	Debi/Smyser

   The required fields in Scopus should reflect the required fields
   in both the email and web interface.  If not, there are integrity
   issues.  For example, leaving out the category field on the web,
   causes Scopus Save function to print an error dialog box.

   The action item is to gain consistency.

6. Fix Log Table:              Completed 9/30              Wade

   Changing COLSPAN=6 to COLSPAN=5 in two cells: the ones holding the
   Department and Summary fields.

7. Fix Log Table:              Completed 9/30              Wade

   Line containing the Rec'd By label and field, the
   Modified label and field, and the Closer label and field is
   messed up...the fields aren't there.  Try adding "&nbsp; for
   missing field.

8. Fix background color:        Completed 9/30             Wade

   The bgcolor tags for the fields in the log screen only have 5 F's
   instead of six.

9. Add network history:         Open     	          Wade

   Underneath the History field at the bottom of the read-only log info,
   can we add the Install Description field (the MIT_DESC field in
   the MIT_N table)?

   Do I understand that this is read-only.  If so, it seems doable
   for phase 1.  Appending or inserting would be more complex and
   thus add time.

    Can we change Firstname to First Name and Lastname to Last Name?

11. Label Change:              Completed 9/30             Wade

     Can we put a colon and space between each "field name" in the log
     screen, otherwise the text version looks as follows, and is also
     hard to read in Lynx.

12. Wording Change:            Open                       Wade

    Can we change "Your modification has been successfully recorded as
     listed" to "Log #XXXXXX has been successfully updated".

13. Wording Change:            Completed 9/30              Wade

    Can we change the link "Log ID XXXXXX" on the success page to "Log
    #"Log ID XXXXXX: More Info"

14. Style Change:              Completed 10/1              Wade/Debi

    For some reason on the success page, the "Case History" label is way
    over to the right.  Should be aligned left.

    Can we change "Logid [XXXXXX] was not found in the database" to "Log
    #XXXXXX was not found in the dataabase."

16. Change Submit wording      Completed 9/30               Wade

    New text:  "If any of your contact information is incorrect,
    please make a note of it in the 'Problem Description' field, below.
    (To make a permanent change, notify the Personnel or Registrar's
    office, as appropriate). Only the individual listed will be able
    to view this case from the Web."

    Add the following to the Submit screen:

    Number #5 ("Please include a one-line summary of your problem.")

18. Submit Screen:             Open                          Wade/Ho

    Need to add new field to database and Scopus GUI.  "Respond by"
    field, which the client will use to determine.  Seems to be a
    phase II item.  For phase 1, remove the "Respond by" field from
    the web and fill in "Web" as the Method.

19. Submit Screen:             Completed 10/2                Wade

    Submit screen completed with code for additional error
    handling, check for required fields (summary, history),
    better html to limit field length on input, add missing
    warehouse fields (title, department, email, location),
    change pop-up fields to default to a blank ('N/A') item,
    truncate trailing spaces on fields, create "result page"
    for user after submitting record, limit funtionality to
    customer versus consultant for phase I.

20. Operational issues:        Open                          Wade

    Make sure httpds starts up on reboot, change connection
    to Oracle to not rely on hardcoded naming convention.

21. History search:            Open                          Wade

    Since Oracle can not search on a long data attribute (e.g.
    history field), we have a "hidden" field called "history
    search" which is only 2k in length and can be used for
    searching.

    Need to always update this field when appending data to
    the history or creating a new record.

22. New certificate:          Completed 10/3                 Wade

    Install a new certificate that the mit CA can verify.
