Thanks for testing.
Maybe the developer folks can comment on the first item. My testing has
been on Solaris and SGI, and those platforms seem to be ok - interms of
width.
Regarding item b., we made a few changes before we settled on the
YYYY/MM/DD format. I agree, it seems to do work nicely.
