Barbara,
I have now successfully installed scopus under windows 3.1.
The steps to accomplish this are:
1. From the Oracle installation CD ROM install the following:
Oracle TCP/IP adapter 2.0.15.0.4 (Choose Novell Lanwp)
Required Support file 7.0.16.4.4d (will happen automatically)
SQL*NET 2.0.15.0.B
SQL*NET TCP/IP 1.1.7.10.4
SQL*PLUS 3.1.2.2.6
2. Have a copy of the MIT TNSNAMES.ORA file available.
3. Copy the MIT TNSNAMES.Ora to the C:\orawin\network\admin directory.
4. Reboot.
5. Run SQL*PLUS 3.1 and log onto the server. (dbo@helpus)
6. Install Scopus from CD-ROM.
6a. DO NOT INSTALL oracle support libraries from SCOPUS.
7. Log onto scopus.
