I thought we made some good progress with Terry Arnett today.
The Macintosh child window (housecall, netinstall, mainframe) is working.
I would like to see some folks test it out on Wednesday (probably during
the scheduled 2:00 pm meeting).
We talked briefly about locking issues and Terry will try to add a line to
call a Tcl procedure for three callbacks (view hits, find open and find
logs). If it works as expected, this Tcl procedure will clear all the
locks for a user. For performance, I will probably need to index a field
not currently indexed.
Terry provided a great idea to speed the login time. It involves filtering
out the "metadata" we do not use and thus should not download. We will
work on this tomorrow and hopefully see a significant improvement on the
login time.
Here are some other thoughts:
There is a known problem on the Mac regarding printing and the "clipboard
button" showing errors messages. I would like Terry to take a look.
InformTEAM bugs are outstanding, maybe Terry can shed some light on why
this is not working.
