1.) Phil Kim (philkim@mit) not in Lookup anywhere
2.) Misha Kim (mishakim@mit) Lookup on email did not find him
but lookup by last name did. Hmmm.
(maybe because Warehouse shows a lowercase
username, and search forces ToUpper?)
... Yeah, when i search for usernames that are known to be in lowercase
in the warehouse data, the people are not found.
action: This implies we need a filter on the warehouse updates to massage
all searchable fields into uppercase.
3.) Adam D'Amico (adamico@mit) not in Lookup anywhere
4.) Terrance Harmon (terrax) lowercase username problem
5.) Kaitlyn Lioa (ktmeow) lowercase username problem
I'm going to cut short testing at this point to indicate that
we have a real problem with consistency between
the two data feeds in the warehouse. Personnel data seems to
come through in upper case, but all the student data seems to have
email addresses in LOWER case -- from what I can tell, that will kill
searching by username.
I say it's a problem with the student data feed because when
I search for people whose first name begins with K, then
sort the Result Set by username -- just about everyone with a lowercase
username has a phone number beginning in 5, for campus residence.
I understand from Lynne that someone was "supposed to have fixed that".
Whatever.
