-----
1. Tooltime team update on testing:
Rob reviewed his comments from 1.0b4 testing. His comments are in
discuss: transaction [0045] menelaus.mit.edu:tbugs
Comments appear to fall into three categories: 1. Action items for
release 1.0b5, 2. Training issues, 3. Items for review post 1.0.
Action items to review for 1.0b5 release:
- Tab sequence (Assigned: Lynne and Rob)
- Exit log should NOT quit scopus.
It should just close that child window (Assigned Lynne)
- Room number on install Oracle table needs to be larger
(Assigned Wade)
Explain current behavior during training:
- "Discard" dialog boxes, especially after "save and clear" actions
- There is an automatic save on the log message. Generally, this works
well. It results in error dialog boxes if the record has not been
previously saved and required fields have not been filled in.
Items for review after release 1.0:
- Confirmation dialogs - is this needed?
- Printing - could be fancier
- Is locking working properly? Will the lock command for admin
users help with any release 1.0 problems?
Rob did like the searching capability.
Peter Ragone also did testing. (Peter, please send your comments to
tooltime-bugs@mit.edu).
Jerry Burke has done some testing on netinstall - see comments in
tbugs discuss meeting. John Saylor will try to get other comments
in from the E40 students/staff by end of this week.
2. Schedule
There were no changes/updates reported on the schedule sent out on
August 26th.
3. History Search:
The team reviewed two options to conduct a history search.
Option 1. involves a dialog box that Brett wrote. It is focused on
searching only the history field. Has the advantage of case insensitive
and could be involved via the pull down menu.
Option 2. is proposal from Lynne to add a field called "history search",
will get converted to upper case and search the history field (stored
in upper case) via QBE.
It was agreed to implement both options and evaluate during release
1.0.
4. InformTEAM
Brett will revisit his draft email message to Scopus on the issues
with implementing InformTEAM. He will then send the message to Scopus
for clarification and resolution.
