Here are Jerry's comments (taken from his log message - id 60035).

Item 2 (database error) seems the most serious.

1. Tried my username in the taken field it does not exist, hence I had to
use another username just to get out of this. I know this is a test., so I
will be patient.

2. If I put more than one room number in the drop location field it moves
drops me out of HELP DESK and gives me the following message. I have to go
back and do the sun command to get back to the database. the error or
warning message reads as follows. ORA-01401: inserted value too large for
column warning op_insert_rel: dbsqlexec failed op_insert_rel:

I was entering 4 room numbers in the misc fields asking for room numbers.

3. Also in the summary field (it has no name so I am calling it that) (OR
maybe its the deployment summary)? I was summarizing the installation with
number of drops, type of drops and hostnames and got field too large cannot
save the data when I tried to do a save. Had to abbreviate with less
information that was needed for this job.

4. The IP address field is good for only one IP address.

 a. person may want one drop but 2 ip addresses with a installation of an
dual xcvr, for example.

5. the status field in the helpnet/dcs dialog box, is not in the correct
area( the status of open or closed is not good enough for an athena
installation nor a dcs installation for sure, it could be on hold, waiting
for information, construction in process etc.. I don't know how fancy we
want to get here, but Brian Murphy and his group maywant to take a peek at
this.

6. I don't understand the difference between the two fields Role and MIT
Status. Also why isn't there a button for MIT Status.

That's what I see for today.

On the whole it's looking good, so thanks. I hope this information helps.
Jerry
