Here's my assignment from this morning's meeting.
Regarding keyword search in the history field:
Talked to Mary Weisse on the issue of searching the history field. She
said "keywords is a good idea, but, I don't know how to implement it". So,
it does not appear to be any built in Oracle function to handle this.
We have tried keyword searches before (e.g. TechInfo, text files), it tends
to be a hard problem and labor intensive.
We then talked about the option I had mentioned earlier about taking 2,000
characters (the first 2k of the log information). Mary thought this was as
good as any other option.
