Scopus Implementation
Date: June 28,1996
Working On Milestone:
- Beta phase continues with multiple releases, testing, and assessment
of work required to complete this phase.
- Release 1.0b3 testing to begin week of July 1.
- Initial beta phase completion goal (June 30) has slipped.
Now projected to be mid July for completion of a stable client of
base/core functionality.
Accomplishments:
- Completed (with the exception of 2 items for 7/1) release 1.0b3
- Began introducing Scopus to assigned documentation resource
- Called Scopus on Macintosh issues, no progress
- Continued with student data/warehouse resolution
Goals:
- Complete and release 1.0b3 for testing - 7/2
- Obtain test results - 7/3
- Meet with MIT Facilities Mgt on production machine 7/2
- Organize meeting to discuss common needs of Help Desk/Software Listing
- Continue with on-going tasks (see previous week's status report)
Issues:
- Outstanding Macintosh problems, waiting for Scopus reply
Notes:
- Possible impact as The Help Desk is moving on Monday 7/1. Upcoming
week is short (holiday 7/4-5), which may hinder time spent on
testing if the 1.0b3 release is delayed.
- If there are minimal changes to the 1.0b3 release, we should shift
some of the implementation/testing resources towards updating system
documentation and starting to evaluate rollout procedures.
