Error:
ORA-12203: TNS:unable to connect to the destination
appears on login attempt.
What I've done:
Installed Scopus client16 and the Oracle v2 files from the 3.6.2 CD
Edited C:\windows\scopus.ini so myserver=18.159.0.43
Used the tnsnames.ora file which worked earlier, with the MIT version of
SQL*Net (which Steve obtained)
Start the client
Enter 'helpus' as the database, and my id and password (which are the
same)
Click on Login
The error appears.
The password I use doesn't matter.
The startup package and some of the .ini options refer to 'pteam'.
Should that be changed?
Have I made some wrong assumptions, done something stupid...?
Your help is appreciated.
