 As of 11/07/97
RM-Server now with 3700 Benchmark Users World Record Holder
for SAP R/3

In a renewed official benchmark measurement monitored and certified by SAP
on 6.11.97 SNI's RM servers have run more R/3 users than all competitors
before. The used three-tier client server configuration with database
server RM600 E60 and application servers RM400 C90 supports highly the work
flows of 3700 benchmark users in the R/3 SD (Sales and Distribution) module
- with high performance fulfilling SAP's constrains for average response
time. This excellent result pushes the so far leader to the second position.
Insignificant higher resources compared to the publication of 10/17/97
(3500 benchmark user) were enough to become the number one worldwide.
Altogether the RM servers are privileged even for extreme challenges to the
performance, also in R/3 environment. Furthermore, the SNI solution again
and again captivates with the most economical and most efficient use of
system resources, a competition advantage which directly pays itself for
the customer.

The following results were achieved with the benchmark, which ran on
November 4, 1997 in Paderborn:

  SD benchmark User 3700
average dialog response time 1.62 seconds
  throughput 19117 SAPS
                                               1147000 dialog steps per hour
                                               382000 order line items

An official SAP benchmark certificate proves this excellent performance of
RM servers in R/3 environments.
