SAP is working with MS to enforce the interoperability between the systems 
in order to kill PeopleSoft and Oracle.
actually, SAP is open to other system via:
- ALE
- EDI
- LSMW
and you need to develop the interface or to use tools like: "règle du jeux" 
for example.
