I'm researching various off the shelf applications and I have a few
questions about development with SAP:
1. Does SAP provide the functionality to customize their various
modules? The ability to make code changes to either change
functionality or add new functionality.
2. Does SAP have a proprietary API or do the support development
platforms such as J2EE or Microsoft .NET for performing integration
work?
3. Using SAP or third party applications can I make changes to the
database objects, table, columns, architecture, etc.?
Basically, I want to know how the flexibility of SAP. Too many off the
self apps make it difficult to integrate with in-house or other third
party apps. Any answers or direction would be greatly appreciated.
