You don't state if SAPGUI is on the server or on a workstation going over
the network.
Have you installed SAPGUI on the server and tried to logon without going
through the network?
Can you ping the server from your workstation?
Does your dispatcher and message server start and stay up?
Please describe your cablemodem and hub/network setup.
