I have no suggestions. Only one remark: We were running an R/3
4.5B on NT4 sp4. The moment I applied SQL service pack 1, I had
this problem too. No events in eventlog, no errors in the trace
files. The basis consultant was puzzled. After a few hours I
decided to restore to the pre-service pack 1 situation of SQL7.
I haven't had the time to try the service pack on any other
machine. Nor have I had thje chance to search for solutions in
OSS.
