Toni,
of course, it\'s possible to install the R/3 Software
without installing the SAPGUI software on a PC. Just
install the SAPGUI on the testserver itself. The software
is available for any platform respectively OS .If you are
using any UNIX platform you are not able to use all
functionalities (i.e. session manager, etc.), but you
won\'t need them at the beginning.
By the way, there\'s no need to connect the testmachine
to the network at all - so you can be sure that nothing can
happen (Y2K).
And one more point:
SAP Walldorf gurantees Y2K compliance for their software ...
