Dear Larry
End-user training for sure is one of the most neglected fields in SAP
implementation. We have been trying some of the tools provided (e.g. SAP
Austria CBT CD) and did not find them to useful. To our conclusion all CBT
tools currently existing could be either used for
(1) end-user training at a very early stage (GUI, basic functions and
archticture), (2) key-user training (as replacement for the official SAP
courses).
To provide more efficiency for a specific company, end-user training must
be company-specific. He we developed an approach so easy it can not be sold
(but told) by combining SAP screenshoots (in Powerpoint) with Living Flow
Charts (in ABC Flow Charter). The focus is process training and process
awareness: the user navigates thru the process using ABC Flow Charter and
call for screenprints and process description where he is interested. We
have add a "tips & tricks" and "comment" box, which is open to all user to
provide their experience and insights. In our projects we use this "tool"
in combination with
classroom teaching, work front training and simulation games. As experience
show, it realy increases productivity.
Hope this might be of interest.
Eric
