How to enter params to saprouter

I have recently installed R/3 3.0f on a Solaris/Informix platform.
I am currently trying to set up saprouter. The manuals describe
route strings such as '/H/myserver/H/sapserv4' but I have not
been able to figure out how to enter these strings. They don't
seem to belong in saproutertab file, and I haven't been able to
pass them as parameters to saprouter. I would appreciate
any help with this 'stupid' question.
