The version that supports Internet Transaction Server (ITS) is 3.1G. We
are upgrading this week to 3.1G to test the internet functionality. You
need to run ITS on a Windows NT/Intel platform. It is a gateway between
the SAP R/3 system and the users.
The SAP versions went from 3.0F to 3.1G. The reason is...they did not want
to call it 3.0G because it was more than a minor release update. They did
not want to call it 3.1A because it was not a completely new release level.
They called it 3.1G to show that it was a continuation of the 3.0F series
but had new functionally.
