Dear Wim,
a relatively simple (but also unelegant) solution is capturing ASCII
only. You can do this by pressing CTRL-Y, thereby opening a mode in
which the cursor changes to a '+'. Then you can drag the mouse across
the screen and capture the letters (sorry, no icons!). Cut the
captured area by pressing CTRL-C and paste it to any editor with
CTRL-V. This reduces filesizes enormously. Unfortunalety the captured
text is rarely formatted to your needs.
