Position: Sr. INTERNAL Consultant - Manufacturing Systems
Location: Federal Way, WA (a suburb of Seattle)
Key Functions: The Sr. Consultant - Manufacturing Systems Principal
Engineer will be a key resource to enterprise wide information systems
initiatives in both the wood products and the pulp and paper businesses.
These system initiatives include Enterprise Resource Planning Systems
(ERPS - SAP), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES - InTrack), and
Process Information Management Systems (PIMS - CIM/21, PI, InTouch). The
incumbent will work with IT staff, vendors, and mill staff. The nature
of the work includes systems integration, technical consulting, systems
analysis, problem solving and the design and development of mfg
applications. Specifically, a key function will be the support of mfg
info systems scoping and implementation projects. The incumbent will
also be a liaison with systems vendors and actively participate in the IT
standards processes where appropriate.
Requirements: MS Degree or at least 6-8 years experience in mfg related
applications; knowledgeable in the use and application of relational and
real-time databases; demonstrable, in depth experience in mill wide
process info systems; knowledgeable in the use of client/server
architecture; practical experience developing applications and interfaces
requiring extended stays at the mill sites. Job-related drug screen
required. Desired: knowledge of the wood products, pulp & paper and
timberlands operations and business practices, knowledge of industrial
control and instrumentation applications, experience CIM21, BAAN, Triton,
SAP R3, mfg execution systems, or related enterprise resource planning
(ERP) systems.
