We are using Adabas D and NT on our SAP R/3 implementation. At the
moment we use a hired machine (only through the implementation period
so we don't have problems with a new and unknown machine. At this
moment we've got a guy coming in every 2 weeks for half a day to do
all the necessary dba jobs. Only thing we do is putting in a tape
every evening so the machine can make his backup somewhere in the
night.
We choose Adabas D because we are a Adabas C (mainframe) user at the
moment. When going to something completely new (form mainframe to
cleinst server) you seek for a few known things, so it became Adabas
D.
If you want more (specific) information you can send me an e-mail and
I'll try to answer it.
