I don't understand what you mean by this last "problem". The problem with
trying to edit Postscript is that it is a full programming language, so you'd
need a Postscript language interpreter in your editor. There isn't really any
concept of graphical objects in Postscript - it is geared towards operators
that put ink down on paper. Not a whole lot of need to edit the ink. :-)
Now, you could invent your own concept of graphical objects in your own
Postscript programming (or commenting) practices, but there probably isn't any
standard for such a concept that could be used to form the basis of a
graphical editor.
