Hello s-news'ers
In a follow up (I never got the original post) someone recently mentioned
what I take to be a latex problem that requires the unix utilities 'tr' and
'sed'....
> For full functionality of translate sed is needed. 'Haven't found it yet.
If you want to spend some $ for (essentially) all the unix utilities, you
might make an inquiry at MKS (Mortice Kern Systems) in Ontario,
Canada. They make very good DOS (and OS/2) versions of all the
utilities: awk, sed, sh, uucp ... I have integrated a number of calls to
these programs into S-Plus functions (Windows 3.2 flavour), and
they can be life savers.

P.S. for cynics: I don't work for MKS and I don't get any money from them.
