An S-plus for DOS user with no UNIX background is intrigued by references
to S-mode in emacs in your discussions. My S-plus for DOS came with a
version of emacs, but the documentation doesn't hint, to me at least, that
it does anything more than the familiar DOS editor that I invoke with
edit(). Several of your references to emacs lead me to believe it makes
interacting with S-plus less difficult. Can I realize this benefit within
S-plus for DOS? If so, could someone be so kind as to point me in a
direction that will lead to useful information?
