Suggestion for DOS file names

I haven't started using DOS-Windows yet, but I'm taking note
of the many good hints being posted on s-news.
I noticed that the back-slash (\) in file names is represented as
\\. It would be easier if S-Plus always translated a forward
slash to the required backslash(es). This would also simplify
some of my UNIX S-Plus code that I'm getting ready to port to
DOS-Windows.
