I could not disagree more with Lyle Lofgren's comments about the documentation
of the table() function. That documentation makes it abundantly clear
what the function does. As Stephen Barnett stated, reading manuals
is worthwhile, and it definitely reduces network traffic! If I were
learning the C language right now, I don't think I would post a message
asking someone to tell me how to take a square root.
One other note: do help.start() and look up functions under the key words
"Categorical Data". This points to table().
