The Projects Database is now up and ready for use as a live project
planning database. You can access it at:
https://arachne.mit.edu/pdb/db.cgi/pdb.pdb_user.frontpage
As a shortcut you can go to:
https://arachne.mit.edu/
And go to the only link on the page: "MIT IS Project Summary"
The projects we knew about are there.
The changes you make ARE now preserved!
The service is live.
(If you don't have a certificate to access the database,
https://bozo.mit.edu/cert.html
is where you go to get one.)
For the latest information on the database, see:
http://web.mit.edu/teamhtml/Athena/pdb-howto.html
You can also add yourself to the mailing list
pdb-outage@mit.edu
to receive the occasional notification when we plan to shut the system
down for maintenance, or for news of outages. If you can't add yourself
to the list, send email to:
owner-pdb-outage@mit.edu
and ask to be added. (This list is archived in the pdb-outage discuss
meeting.)
Soon we will give a tutorial in the E40 visitor's center.
Please begin NOW to use the system to register, report, and track your
projects. We expect that the system will be easy to use, and robust
in fulfilling your needs.
If, in the course of using the system, you encounter problems or have
any suggestions or comments, send email to:
project-db@mit.edu
The delivery team will be reviewing all reports.
Thank you for your patience.
