getting a shelf spare drive for arachne

I just checked in with folks here, and we do not have, just laying
around, a shelf spare drive that could drop onto Arachne.
Would you please use your usual channels to purchase a shelf spare and
bill account number 16457 for it. Off hand I do not know the size of
the drive. It is probably 2GB. Pick whatever vendor you feel most
comfortable with. My guess is that this drive should be obtainable for
something like $500.
It would not be until the end of the summer that other 2gb drives would
be becoming surplus. So we should just throw a couple dollars at this
in advance of a more carefully thought out renewal of Arachne.
