I've just grabbed the latest (9/8) pc-kerberos. I couldn't get the
distributed binary for kinit to work at all, so I started to try and
debug things by compiling the sources. I'm fairly new to the MSVC++
environment, and would like to know what set of include files are
used for some of the standard BSD functions on a PC (like, where should
I get sys/socket.h from for a PC)? I have been working with the FTPsoft
distribution, but MSVC++ doesn't appear to parse them well.
If someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong with the binary
distribution, I'd be very greatful. I'd still like to find out where to
get the correct include files for BSD on the PC, just for future
reference.
I'm currently running FTP's PCTCP2.3. Their kinit works fine. I set up
C:\NET\{KERB,TCP} and placed a copy of our krb.realms and krb.conf into
C:\NET\KERB and placed /etc/services into C:\NET\TCP. I also made sure
to "SET NDIR=C:\NET". This is the message I get:
C:\> C:\src\kerb\kuser\bin\kinit -v

Thanks for any and all help,
