The athena-dist version is always newer or at least as new as the binaries
available on net-dist. Only binaries are avilable on net-dist. This is
because local users are pointed to net-dist and new versions don't appear
on net-dist until all locally developed applications work with the newer
versions.
BTW athena-dist has a newer version than you have. The new name of the DLL
for Windows is krbv4win.dll.

The new version should not have any dependancies on LWP.

In you master environment set a variable:
set NDIR=c:\net
Or whatever drive and directory is appropriate for your machine. Under the
\net directory there MUST be a directory named KERB. In the KERB directory
place a copy of krb.con and krbrealm.con that is correct for your site.
These should just be copies of your site's /etc/krb.conf and
/etc/krbrealm.conf files as found on your local UNIX workstations.

You alos need to have the proper entries in your service file. For LWP the
name of the files is \net\tcp\services. Some PC stacks use \etc\services.
Check the /etc/services file from one of your local UNIX systems for the
proper entries for your site.
