I am very happy to announce that Microsoft has
agreed to host the inaugural meeting of the
group.

Also, we have brought the day of the meeting
forward by a day. The following is a revised
version of the meeting notice. For those who
have responded, if the new date is ok, you
don't need to respond again.

Regards,

        Northern California DCE Users Group

        Revised Notice of Inaugural Meeting

The first meeting of the Northern California DCE Users Group
will be held on March 6, 1995 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at
Microsoft's regional office seminar room in Foster City, CA.

The meeting will focus on the needs, concerns and suggestions
of current and potential users of OSF's DCE. DCE User Groups
have already been established in other geographical areas, and
an attempt will be made to obtain the experiences of several
such groups. OSF and user presentations will be scheduled.

I visualize this group to (at least initially) adopt a loose
association or interest group structure, functioning with the
purpose of members sharing experiences and funneling suggestions
to OSF and the DCE-SIG.

At this point, I am looking for a headcount. Please e-mail
me if you think you can attend, with the name of your organi-
zation (no problem with more than one attendee per company).
Please feel free to forward this message to others who may
be interested in getting together.

Suggestions for the format, agenda, or other topics welcome.

Sincerely,

Dipak Basu
