Swedish gouvernment plans to cut WHO money by 50 percent.

Foreign aid officials has proposed that the swedish contribution to the
World Health Organisation WHO, a part of the UN, should be cut by 50
percent. The reason is the massive mismanagement of the organisation.

So far, it is just a proposal and its chance to survive through the
foreign ministry administration is small: the minister of foreign aid is
Pierre Schorri, a former secretary of state in the foreign office and
close friend of Fidel Castro (a seriously meant yoke about the man is:
"Its not true that Schorri is paid by the KGB, he works for them for
free).

Still, the sher fact is interesting. If Swedish foreign aid
bureacrats concludes that a UN organisation is so bad that withdraw part
of theire money is necessary, it must be in *really* bad shape.

Happy new year!
