Present: brlewis, carla, jjmorey, kcunning, nschmidt
SUPPORT PLAN
Carla distributed the current draft of the support plan, which she will
mail to layered-athena shortly.
brlewis: the plan looks good.
kcunning: students might purchase workstations, so RCC's would need to know
how to help them.
carla: some students might want to go with layered Athena rather than
full Athena to avoid the service fee.
nschmidt: avoiding the service fee means not getting access to third-party
software.
DOCUMENTATION
kcunning: I haven't gotten any feedback on this document.
brlewis: I think one tester has received the document. I will give it
to the new tester and explicitly ask for feedback.
THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE
nschmidt: here is my Proposed Layered Athena Software Policy. ACMG
looked at and liked it. It depends on a wrapper cfields wrote and is
testing. I will mail the proposal to layered-athena.
BETA TESTERS
brlewis: we need more beta testers
carla: we can do testing once you set us up, although we won't know how
it's different from Ultrix without Athena.
brlewis: that will help
NEXT STEPS
Consensus was that it's still a little early for a timeline re.
publicizing Ultrix Layered Athena, but we definitely want to be in
production for a while before moving on to other platforms.
brlewis will call another meeting when we have an agenda, probably 3-5
weeks from now.
