Thanks for the info.
As to what version I have, I have some header files and binaries that
you wrapped for me September 1993. Independently I have sources,
which I ftp'd myself around the same time and have never built. So
who knows if they match. Anyway, my sources are PRE_BETA_3, which
sounds pretty old to me.
With interfaces changing, may I suggest a better place to store the
version info? So that applications can find it, and so I can see
what version my binary distribution is, it should (also) be in some
installed header.
For example, <X11/Xlib.h> defines a symbol XlibSpecificationRelease.
I suggest that <krb5/krb5.h> do something similar.
Is there a target release date for Kerberos 5?
So Tom is still around? I've occasionally pinged him to see if he
would write end-to-end encryption for X, but I haven't gotten much of
a response.
Consider this your first request for a kerberos-announce mailing list.
