Oops. I seem to have omitted a significant detail. I ported V4, not V5. I'm interested in doing V5, later. Basically, I was wondering how the POSIX lock stuff in the os layer in V5 works, so I can use your techniques in my V4 port. The stuff I'm doing is intended to be used in the 6.001 lab, so V5 isn't an option yet.
