I would be sad to see the usenet<->email gateway for the Kerberos list
go away because it would cut off some members.  I use GNUS to read
netnews and have it configured in a way that eliminates most spam
before I ever see it (it also ditches replies to articles I didn't
read, thus making even high-traffic groups tolerable), so frankly I
didn't even reailze there was a problem with spam on the Kerberos
list.

It seems like semi-automatic moderation as Ted suggests is the best
solution, assuming we decide to do anything.  That would eliminate
virtually all the spam without taking too much time for a human
moderator, and we could probably find a volunteer on the Kerberos list
to handle the minimal load.
