Okay - lets consider gmake....
According to the latest sources, there is a version that works for DOS.
As I have never seriously developed under windows, etc - would this work?
Assuming that gmake for DOS is sufficient for Windows, what about the
Macintosh? How hard would it be to port gmake to the Mac? Assuming that
the output is put into a window? Would this be sufficient?
I also have a question of the error table handling. Am I correct in
interpreting the Makefiles that for the Mac and PC the comerr tables
need to be built on a unix box? Would we need tools to deal with this in
the long run? (or can we just use compile_et)
