Using the `-Wcast-qual' option of gcc would flag these also. (One of my own contributions.) There are several types of warnings that `-Wall' does not enable; you might want to look and see whether some of them are desirable. (And if you do edit the list of gcc flags, add `-finline-functions', to improve the stdio cache code at least, and probably more...)
