It appears that (at least in the alpha2 release), all replies from the
KDC, whether AS or TGT, were marked with a msg_type of "TGS_REP"; I
think the gross hack of not including the msg_type in the API-visible
structure was a mistake.
This was discovered while I was attempting to get kerberos to build
using a different ASN.1 package.
