Currently, we explicitly write out the name "/usr/local" in
many places, e.g. "/usr/local/bin/kinit". We should replace these
with meta-pathnames, e.g. "PREFIX/bin/kinit", so as to accomodate
people who do "configure --prefix=PREFIX" where PREFIX is not
necessasrily /usr/local. Doing so would also make it more clear which
paths are set by configure and which are hardcoded, among other
things. I'm not certain that this wants to be included in 1.0 due to
the extent of the changes required, but it's certainly something to
think about.
