This is an announcement that the MIT Kerberos Team has
installed GNU Gnats as a bug tracking system. This means that there
will be a central database of bugs, and we will easily be able to
determine what bugs have been fixed and what is still open.

Normally, Gnats use is accompanied by a client program called
send-pr that generates bug reports in the correct form to be received
into the database. We will manually deal with re-categorizing problem
reports received until the next release of Kerberos. We will probably
make a send-pr shell script customized for Kerberos available in the
near future for those who file enough bug reports that it would be
worth their time to download it.

People who are subscribed to the krb5-bugs@mit.edu mailing
list will notice that they receive bug reports from
krb5-bugs-redist@mit.edu not krb5-bugs@mit.edu. This is because the
Gnats frontend sits on krb5-bugs@mit.edu and the output is sent to
krb5-bugs-redist@mit.edu.

People can still subscribe to the krb5-bugs-redist@mit.edu
list by sending mail to kerberos-request@mit.edu. We hope to have
majordomo set up soon so humans don't have to deal with list requests.
