beta 6 applications don't build

I am trying to build the keberos V beta 6 source on an
Alpha (DEC UNIX 3.2c).
I ran configure
I ran make.
The applications don't seem to get built.
I am interested in applications that may work against
the Kerberos V that comes with DCE. Initially telnet.
I tried to build the appl code from that directory but
am running into problems.
The sample/sclient needs libcrypto.a which I can find
no source for.
For telnet references to the libkrb4.a. I found the
source in the lib dir and built that library, with
that resolved I need libdes425.a. I went to the lib
source to build it but it needs des_int.h which I
don't seem to have.
the src/lib/gssapi doesn't build. It needs rsa-md5.h
Any suggestions as to how to proceed.
