Deborah,
I saw your note to the krb5-bugs list about using K5 beta 5 with DCE.
I am currently working on a project to do that, and so far we have
been able to use the Kerberos 5 beta 5 rlogin, telent commands with
a DCE 1.0.3a securitry server. (Transarc on Solaris 2.3) The clients
are on SunOS, Solaris 2.3, AIX 3.2.5 and Linux. Cross cell authentication
also works.
I dont know where you got the idea that you have to compile with
the ISODE option. You do need one fix with K 5 beta 5, and about
three fixes with K5 beta 4. If you are interested the diffs for these
can be found at ftp://achilles.ctd.anl.gov/pub/kerberos.v5/k55.cdiff.95....
All of the problems I have found have been reported to MIT, and the
diff file includes some of the fixes as reported by others as well.
You may also want to contack John Brezak <brezak@apollo.hp.com>
who has been very helpfull in getting K5 and DCE to interoperate.
I am now in the process of compiling K 5 beta 5 on HP and hope to
get a DCE context from a forwarded K5 credential.
