If this is the case, I need to know where I can get a patch
to make the Kerberos V5B4 library compatible with DCE, if
such a patch exists. I also need to know if plans still
exist to keep the MIT/DCE compatibility fix in sync between
the two versions of the Kerberos code. This is important to
me because it could have a big impact on current plans with
Kerberos at SCO.
Yes, the plan is that Kerberos V5 will be able to accept the incorrect
encoding ommited by DCE (although it will only generate the correct
encodings).
I will mail you the patch that has been sent to me under separate cover,
although I make no guarantees that it actually works. I've been waiting
for Bill Sommerfeld from HP to take a look at the patch and validate it
before including it in our sources.
