I have been working with the CYGNUS distribution under HP-UX 9.05. I found
that the software person for the system installed all the compilers
incorrectly when I tried to compile. For all CYGNUS says about easy of
compiling with their distribution, I have examples from Solaris and HP-UX that
do not compile completely.
I would think your best chance is to get the CYGNUS distribution from
http://www.cygnus.com/ and then they will be hearing about problems from two
people.
