I'm running it with Kerberos IV. I built my own Kerberos libraries from
the Cygnus distribution, but I just went and tried relinking telnet with
the Sun libraries (/usr/lib/libkrb.so) and it seemed to work ok (it
authenticated and encrypted me, I guess that's what counts :) )

I'm using David Borman's telnet/telnetd package (with a few local
additions); you can find it on ftp://net-dist.mit.edu/pub/telnet. There
was a Solaris bug which David Parter was kind enough to find, I'm pretty
sure it was integrated into the last release. Be sure and get the
October 23 1995 version since it fixes the security hole discussed here
recently.

I haven't played with kerberized ftp yet, sorry.

Nathan
