[5904] in Kerberos
need help troubleshooting V5.5 install on IRIX 5.3

Hi.
We are trying to install kerberos V5 beta 5 on an IRIX 5.3
platform here and are not succeeding. For the most part,
we've followed the installation notes (which were
not very complete: 'To be written' appears alot ; - ( ), but the
document from ftp://ubvms.cc.buffalo.edu/kerberos_5/install_info/
install_notes.txt was very helpful.
After starting krb5kdc and kadmind5 , we had this problem:
#/krb5/bin/kadmind5
/etc/krb5_adm.acl: syntax error at line 3 < ...>
kadmind5[12366]: Kerberos V5 administrative server starting.
The /etc/krb5_adm.acl file only had the following line in it:
kelly/admin@NJ.NEC.COM *
I seemed to have read somewhere in the voluminous Kerberos FAQs
to try kadmin (v4) if kadmind5 didn't work correctly. Any
ideas?
Nonetheless, kinit seems to work. But when I try rlogin,
the client hangs. We DO get the following seemingly correct
syslog messages:
Sep 22 16:39:52 6W:k0 krb5kdc[12357]: AS_REQ: ISSUE: authtime 811802392,\
host 138.15.150.231, kelly@NJ.NEC.COM for krbtgt/NJ.NEC.COM@NJ.NEC.COM

811802392, host 138.15.150.231, kelly@NJ.NEC.COM for\
host/k1.nj.nec.com@NJ.NEC.COM
Also, it seems that certain parts of V5.5 either hasn't been ported to
many platforms and/or tested with different applications.
Any comments and/or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
