Possible first step: Check that you have a /kerberos. It could be that
your distribution is compiled for a different location. Look in
kerberos/obj/include/krb_db.h for the string DBM_FILE. This is the
file prefix for the database.
mine is: /kerberos/principal
which means the kerberos database files principal.pag, .dir & .ok
will be created in /kerberos.
Also check in krb.h to see what directories are set there.
