(Apologies if this has already been seen... I am unsure if
posting is working from my current place of work, thought
I'd try an old account :-)

Given: a "regular" Windows TCP/IP'd machine running an existing
Kerberos 4 client program that successfully can be configured to
talk to a K4 server and get tickets...

I wish to take said client to an NT box. Impossible? Requires
certain networking/security conditions inherent to NT to be set?
I would be very interested in hearing from anyone with experience
with Kerberos and NT.

I'm NT-illiterate at the moment, basically what I tried to do was go
through the same exercise of loading on the Windows client software
(creating Program Group, Program Item etc.), making like configuration
files, and running the software. Program runs, I fill in the principal/
instance/realm/password the same way but instead of getting a ticket I
get the ever popular "Can't send request (send_to_kdc)" error (NT not
finding the K4 server? Socket pecularities? Dunno).

Thank you very much for your help! My e-mail address is
